After I've wrapped the bars with the wetted fiberglass, I spiral wrap the lay-up using a 1" wide piece of grocery bag in the OPPOSITE direction of the way I rolled the wetted FG onto the mandrel. The grocery bags are EPE (actually HDPE), and while most "Kroger" bags are 1/2 mil thickness Drela says use 1 mil thick stuff. Larger, thicker "Target" bags do the trick. However, I have used both effectively.
After wrapping with the EPE, wrap the whole layup with stretchy tape like electricians tape. Allow to cure for 12-24 hours or so. I found that most of my tubes took at least 24 hours to reach full cure.
