Okay, so with the wedges curing, I thought I'd take the plunge into making the joiner TUBES. I waxed up the joiner bar itself with some olive oil (I would later switch to using the caranuba car wax), and cut myself a piece of aluminized mylar from a "space blanket". It is .0005 (1/2 mil) thick and worked just fine. I covered both sides of the mylar with caranuba wax to ensure that it would come out of the tube after curing.
